It is my great honor to present our Group in my condition as Council President and CEO of Brasilinvest.

Through 30 years of our history, we have achieved great accomplishments. In the financial and telecommunications fields; in infrastructure or power generation, Brasilinvest has been a vital piece in the

modernization of brazilian economy. In this period, Brasilinvest has developed projects that surpass US$ 4.7 billions.

Through iterations with partners in 16 countries, Brazilinvest is a pioneer as a private development agency, and currently consolidates its position among the most important Business Banks in Brazil. Its remarkable international profile has always been a defining factor in Brasilinvest’s company success. It’s a philosophy we preserve and seek to perfect indefinitely.

A prime example of this philosophy is the history of our Management Council itself. George Schultz, William Simon, Cesare Romiti, Albin Chalandon, Jacques Solvay, Toni Schmuecker, Franz Lutolf, Eliezer Batista, Antoine Riboud, Abdulla Saudi, Alejandro Orfila, Pierre Ledoux, e político do século Hans Friederichs, Fred Bergsten, Nello Célio; those are names that gave shape and content to the economical and political worlds of the 20th century. We have great pride of this legacy, and as it enters the 21st century, Brasilinvest is stronger than ever before.

We keep a portfolio of projects and investments worth around US$ 1 billion which, along with our other implemented operations, makes Brasilinvest and its net assets one of the top 100 private groups of the country. It measured according to assets per worker, Brasilinvest then becomes one of the top 20 biggest companies.

Brasilinvest’s commitment is to offer the best business tools to deal with the previously unseen flow of ideas and opportunities that defines the global economy.

In the next few years, Brasilinvest will continue to perform a constructive role in the strengthening of ties between Brazil and the rest of the world.
